- December
2011 - The annual "Christmas Tea" was held
on December 18th this year. Ann and Bonnie took some pictures. See them here and here.
- June 2011 - A memorial
service for long-time Reading Friend, Barbara Foust was held at
the Maidencreek Meetinghouse on June 26th. A
pictorial tribute to his mother was sent to us by Jonathan Foust. A kind thank you note was then sent by Matt Foust to Betty Hanf after the event.
- March
2011
- The Ronnings report from American Samoa:
"The Ronnings (Evelyn, Ger, Frances, Lola) have settled in American
Samoa until July. We are living close to the beach, and have daily
trips to a freshwater pool that is cut into the rock at the coast, at
high tide it fills with salt water and is a great place to swim. We are
teaching at South pacific Academy, a small private school, where the
girls are attending for their schooling. Evelyn is doing her doctoral
research at the school district and a local high school as well. Most
days are warm (around 85 degrees) and it rains every few days. We have
a 20 minute walk to the main road, and a 15 minute bus ride from there
to town/work/school...so we're more isolated than we're used to, but
have adapted. Everyone is well, healthy, and adjusting! Hope all is
well at RMM and we look forward to seeing you when we return!"

2011 - On
January 1, 2011 Adam Forrer and Laura Leh were wed
at Reading
Monthly Meeting. It was the first wedding at the
meetinghouse in eight years, and it was a beautiful event! See a few pictures.

2010
- On December 29th, some Friends (Ken and Jane Cook, Trine Liv
Weyman, Heather Ehrlich, and John Rivera) paid a visit to
Curtis
and Charmoine Jones at their home. Don't they look wonderful?

2010 - A dedicated crew celebrated spring by
cleaning up the meetinghouse grounds. See them work.
- January
2010 - The Worship and Ministry Committee sent an email message
to the publishers of Friends Journal this month. It was
prepared
by the members of the committee at the request of Reading Monthly
Meeting (see the minutes from the January Meeting for Business) and
addresses the possible laying down of Friends Journal.
- October
2009 - The
cabinets are in, the floor installed, and construction materials
cleaned up. See how
it looks.
- September
2009 - The
kitchen cabinets arrived and have been
installed. See our

installation on
September 24, 2009.
- August
2009 - A
farewell picnic was held in Pat Pingel’s
honor at the Maidencreek Meetinghouse on August 23, 2009.
